Oroku Saki, more famously known as Shredder, is the primary antagonist in most iterations of the TMNT franchise. He is the leader of the Foot Clan, a criminal organization steeped in ninjutsu. Driven by a thirst for power and vengeance, Shredder's plans often involve seizing control of New York City or exacting revenge on Splinter, his arch-enemy.

Shredder's most defining feature is his menacing armored suit, typically adorned with bladed gauntlets and a samurai-inspired helmet. This intimidating appearance reflects his ruthless nature and mastery of martial arts. In the 1987 TMNT cartoon, Shredder first appeared in the episode "Turtle Tracks".
